YMCA Yarmouth - Solar Pool Heating

Located in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, the YMCA Yarmouth operates year round offering recreational activities such as gym, aerobics, personal training, children activities, and swimming. The swimming pool is operated year round for family swims, as well as 3000 swimming sessions per year. The swimming pool is 30 ft x 50 ft with a shallow and deep end.

In November 2003, Thermo Dynamics Ltd., (TDL), was approached by the YMCA to design a solar thermal pool heating system to offset the cost of fuel oil. In September of 2004, TDL completed the installation of a 120 square meter solar pool heating system.

Kejimikujik National Park - Solar Shower Water Heating

The solar water heating system was installed on the Kejimikujik Shower building located at Jeremys Bay Campground, Kejimikujik National Park, Nova Scotia, Canada. The building has a male and female shower room, each with 9 shower stalls. The building is operational from May to September each year.

Windhorse Farm - Hybrid Solar Space and Domestic Water Heating

Thermo Dynamics Ltd. installed a solar hybrid system which includes space and domestic water heating. The heating system consists of radiant floor tubing, 12 solar collectors and a back up instantaneous propane heater.

Electric Radiant Floor Heating System with Solar Domestic Hot Water

Thermo Dynamics Ltd. installed a radiant floor heating system with an electric boiler. The system was enhanced by a solar domestic hot water system.
